Words by Lakshmi Bhaskaran
Design by Vince Frost and Anthony Donovan
ISBN 0-646-45445-5
RRP $90.00Aud

Surprisingly and refreshingly lightweight to hold, although a chunky 400 pages long, Vince Frost's long awaited book Frost* (sorry trees) is as much a biographical style exploration of his experience and journey as a Graphic Designer as a traditional monograph style collection of his life's work.

As he suggests in his introduction the book really is an 'idea's book' - a scrapbook of sorts detailing the myriad of things, people and places that Frost has found, and continues to find inspirational. As a result (and judging by the warm reception received at last weeks Melbourne book launch) it is obvious that through his work, Frost is equally as adept at inspiring others.

Overall, the book has been constructed and finished well and provides a great read - not too wordy and enough images to provide even the neediest of designers with the visual sustenance they crave.

A definite 4/5.

"honestly, i think this book isn't an idea's book, just his idea portfolio and his experience, the part that i love this book so much is the way he think about how to solve the problem between his career and his family"
