In response to interest and enquiry, Australia's National Print Awards have announced that their entry date would be extended until 13 January 2003.
This announcement came after feedback that a cut off date in December was difficult to meet for many businesses who wished to enter, especially the smaller ones at their peak production time in the calendar year.
National Print Awards Chairman, Alf Carrigan, explained "With the recent overhaul of the Awards committee and judges selection procedures, we are very keen to assure the industry that the National Print Awards is not only transparent, but inline with modern practice."
Alf was confident that "This level of flexibility would demonstrate to potential entrants that the Awards are committed to building a program that is industry driven."
Editor's notes:
In June 2002 the Printing Industries Association of Australia announced a new committee to manage the 20th annual National Print Awards. Led by an independent chairman (Alf Carrigan) this new committee is working to interface with the industry using an open and consultative framework.
Those who enter their award categories prior to Christmas have a chance to will a dozen bottles of award winning wine from boutique Red Hill vineyard - Frogspond - valued at $500.
