Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) fourth biennial
design awards
Adelaide 98 South Australia
As the only national representative body of graphic designers in
Australia, AGDA's mission is to promote visual communication as a
discipline, profession and cultural force.
The AGDA Biennial is the premier event on the Australian graphic design
calendar. Since its inception in 1992, it has attracted an ever
increasing number of entries of exceptional work from the nation's
professional design community.
This year introduces a new category dedicated to Innovation and all
entries will be judged by a distinguished panel of design practitioners.
Award winners and finalists will be recognized in the
various categories and the work will be included in the AGDA CPI Papers
Travelling Exhibition and AGDA Awards Book.
The Awards weekend, from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October, promises to
include various wine, food and arts experiences for which Adelaide has
established an international reputation. The highlight will, of course,
take the form of the AGDA Awards and AGDA Paperpoint Hall of Fame
presentation dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Saturday, 24
October.
Enthusiastic sponsor involvement has already well exceeded that of any
previous AGDA Awards Biennial, a sure sign of a successful event.
