The Design Foundation presents the twelfth AGIdeas International Design Event at Melbourne's premier Arts Precinct. Come and be inspired by leading international designers in the fields of graphic design, computer game illustration, motion graphics, textile design, identity management, fine art, animation and special effects, digital photography, industrial design and much more.

Price includes: three days of mind blowing information from 15 leading designers, lunch, light refreshments, sponsors box, entertainment and final night party. No day tickets available.

Please note bookings received after 12 April will have to be collected at the conference and will incur a late fee of $40.00

The Design Nights
Take the chance to visit one of Melbourne's leading design houses on Monday 22nd April 6.30pm. As one of a group of twenty five students, you will have the opportunity to discuss all aspects of design with one of Australia's industry leaders. Places are limited so you will need to book early. Send $20.00 along with your registration fee and mark your order of preference for designers to guarantee your place at this memorable evening (please complete in order, filling in all 25 design nights). Your $20.00 will only be refunded if you miss out on a place, however please note that no refunds will be given for studio visits of lower preference. Venue
The Melbourne Concert Hall is at the centre of Melbourne's premier arts precinct. It is next to the new Federation Square complex with galleries, shops and Victoria's state multimedia centre and near the Melbourne Botanical Gardens, South Bank Boulevard and the CBD. The central location makes the venue easily accessible to Melbourne's best hotels, shops, restaurants and bars.

Accommodation
The Design Foundation has special rates at three Melbourne hotels. All three hotels are situated in the CBD and are close to the conference venue. The three different establishments offer a range of accommodation styles and prices. Please make sure that you ask for the AGIdeas rate when booking.

The Westin Melbourne
Situated on the corner of Collins and Swanston Sts adjoining the city square, the Westin Melbourne is a stylish five star hotel. Discount rates start at $248 per night. http://www.westin.com.au.

The Victoria Hotel
Situated in Little Collins Street beside the Melbourne Town Hall, the Victoria Hotel is a budget conscious hotel. Quote the AGIdeas rate in the comments field. Standard rates start at $132.00 twin room. http://www.victoriahotel.com.au.

The Flinders Station Hotel

AGIdeas Student Design Awards
Creativity = Risk
Students attending AGIdeas have the opportunity to win one of two travelling scholarships by entering either the Cato Partners Award or the Collie Trust Award.

Shortlisted entries in both Awards, by those students under 25 years, will be submitted to Fabrica, the research centre for communication for the Bennetton Group. Fabrica will award one of these students a scholarship to attend the research centre for up to one year.

Shortlisted entries will be exhibited in the Saxton Paper Accord Colour Gallery at the Victorian Arts Centre April 22 - 23.
