In the a matter of time, the 16th Tamworth Fibre Textile Biennial, curator Suzie Attiwill has drawn together fibre works by 25 artists from a range of disciplines, including visual art, photography, fashion and textile arts. Threaded throughout the exhibition are ideas and objects that prompt us to think about the relationships between time and making, materiality, ritual, the present and memory. a matter of time has entranced audiences across Australia. In 2006 it tours to Object Gallery, bringing to Sydney diverse, evocative and exquisitely beautiful Australian textiles.
