FAQ

Success in overseas markets is never guaranteed - operating across cultures is challenging

Invest in your export potential by knowing the intercultural business essentials

The NSW Department of State and Regional Development, in co-operation with the Australian Graphic Design Association, is offering a FREE workshop for design-related companies and institutions.

Through industry-specific case studies, practical tips and exercises, businesses attending the workshop will be assisted in:

  • Understanding different cultural approaches to intellectual property, project design and management
  • Improving their intercultural negotiation skills
  • Identifying differences in time and tasks delivery
  • Developing appropriate Customer Relationship Management frameworks
  • Resolving conflicts in intercultural settings

The workshop will be delivered in Sydney on Friday, 10 December 2004 (9am-4pm) and is open to small or medium sized businesses in NSW that are exploring exporting as a growth strategy.

The workshop presenter is Dr Melissa Butcher of Beasley Intercultural Pty Ltd. Melissa is an intercultural consultant and facilitator, who has lived and worked in Europe and Asia for many years.
