With the advent of the Apple Mac in the early eighties and the increase in technological advancements in design technology generally, there are now more and more ways to progress our communications industry across all media. There are no signs which suggest it will stop doing so either. However, is this proliferation more destructive than we lead ourselves to believe? How much are we relying on the software and the technology for our creativity? Or are we still in control of the technology we produce?
This event looks at how creativity is being helped or hindered by design technology.
A panel of speakers consisting of Wayne Rankin, David Terrazas and Mark Bowey will open our 2004 programme, debating the way technology has affected creativity and design. We invite you to come and share your thoughts on the changing technology of design practice today.
