Dear AGDA
After 17 years of 'mothering' both AGDA NSW and 16 years of 'mothering' AGDA National, I have decided to resign both positions to concentrate on 'mothering' my husband, Ian, who is battling with cancer of the liver.
My major concern is of course Ian, so I feel it only fair to hand over the reins to somebody who can give AGDA their full attention as I have done up until now.
I've thoroughly enjoyed working with the many councils over the years and have made many friends who I'm sure will keep me up to date with all the news.
My last day will be Friday, 20th April so I look forward to catching up with some of you at the coming functions.
Kind regards
Robyn Brazier
Seventeen years is pretty close to the life span of AGDA thus far.
And to have Robyn Brazier's dedication all these years to the wellbeing of every member and facet of the AGDA organization has been a luxury and a blessing.
We are all indebted to her immeasurable contribution to more than 'mothering' the National and NSW Secretariats.
Over the past twelve months, both National Council and NSW Council have been aware of the enormous effort Robyn has made to ensure her commitment to AGDA is fulfilled.
Under the circumstances, her decision is understandable and has been reluctantly accepted.
Our love, hopes and best wishes go to Robyn and Ian during this challenging period.

"As Victorian President and later National President of AGDA I worked closely with Robyn for many years. Her committment to AGDA went way above what would be expected from anyone...and all done with good humor and efficiency.
It is completely understandable that Robyn needs to support Ian in this difficult time. I wish them both my fond good wishes.

"'I worked closely with Robyn as Victorian and later as National President and she has always been a dedicated worker on AGDAs behalf, always putting in much more than was expected. I have known Ian for all that time as well, meeting them both at many national events, always friendly and good company. Like every one I wish Ian strength in his battle and my sincere hope is that he comes through'."
