Garry Emery, design director of emerystudio and one of Australia's most successful graphic designers, has been honoured for his lifetime contribution to the discipline of environmental graphic design by the Society of Environmental Graphic Designers (SEGD) in the United States. He is the first Australian and the first non-USA based designer ever to win this prestigious award.
