FAQ

by Greg Campbell - Designoz - AGDA Councillor

We are all becoming more aware of the ecological cost of our entire industry, yet when searching for stocks with a better pedigree it's often hard to "see the paper for the trees". To help cut through the hype, Recommended Environmentally Accountable Papers is an ongoing survey of our major paper suppliers that will be updated twice a year. REAP highlights most of the best stocks available here and with tools to assist comparison. The site is fast loading and informative, showing weights, grades, fibre content and eco print ideas. A first for Australasia, it's a developing resource for graphic designers supported by AGDA and the Society for Responsible Design: the REAP guide http://www.green.net.au/srd/reap.htm

Your input, feedback and support for these concepts and organisations promoting sustainability is also welcome.

The REAP guide was launched February 7 at the AGDA NSW Design Effectiveness and Triple Bottom Line seminar. See this story at: http://www.agda.com.au/eventsnews/nsw/news/2005/Triple.html
