The InDesign User Conference will be held on 30th-31st August 2007 at the RMIT's International Centre of Graphic Technology, in Brunswick, Melbourne.

Speakers from a wide range of backgrounds including advertising, graphic design, pre-press, publishing, teaching and training will provide InDesign professionals with the latest information, including practical tips and techniques for design applications.

An additional pre-conference session "Mastering the Adobe Creative Suite" on August 29th teaches you how to best work between the applications and stop using each application as a stand alone workflow.

Speakers include:

  • New York computer graphics teacher and InDesign guru Sandee Cohen, an author of design solutions and a frequent speaker at Seybold, MacWorld Expo and Thunder Lizards events;
  • Frasier Crozier the business liaison manager from Seven Media group's IT applications who has been involved in large scale transition of users from QuarkXPress to InDesign2 and involved in CS1, CS2 and CS3 beta programs;
  • Melbourne based photographer and trainer David Harradine;
  • Printing management specialist Eliot Harper currently with Fuji Xerox but previously responsible at Adobe for the pre-release programs of InDesign 2.0;
  • Publishing automation consultant and co-convenor of the AppleScript Pro sessions Shane Stanley;
  • Australia's premier Photoshop and InDesign trainer Mike McHugh, a certified Adobe expert;
  • New Jersey based pre-press and graphics specialist Noha Edell who is currently responsible for promoting Adobe Systems next generation publishing tools;
  • Adobe Systems' Michael Stoddart who is responsible for helping advertising and design clients transition to InDesign;
  • Adobe Certified Instructor, trainer and consultant Cari Jansen from the Western Australia design and printing community;
  • Leading Adobe Creative Suite trainer Kevin Kayani.

Included in the conference ticket price will be entry to Desktop Magazine's 'Create:Awards' gala night cocktail party, Australia's only annual multi-discipline graphic design awards.
