Women in Design: A Fact Finding Initiative
Icograda and Icsid are constantly searching for ways in which to retain
and increase our relevance and impact in an ever-changing world that
is driven by technology. To address this challenge and explore potential
opportunities, this joint project was launched as an exploratory fact-finding
mission into Women in Design.
The feedback received will be used to enable the Women in Design initiative
to more accurately focus future projects of relevance to women in design
and to add value to the general member base. We believe that individual
member societies will also find value in the final feedback as it might assist
them in developing appropriate strategies when arranging conferences,
interventions and events.
Organizational Survey (http://www.icograda.org/web/survey-org.shtml)
This fact-finding sheet aims at capturing information from Icograda member
associations, and should be completed by the secretariat or a person appointed
by the secretariat to do so.
Members Survey (http://www.icograda.org/web/survey-members.shtml)
This fact-finding sheet aims to collect information from Icograda member
association’s members and should be completed by individuals,
both men and women.
UDid: Universal Design Identity Survey
The Universal Design Identity program (UDid) is a research project that is being
conducted by Alex Bitterman and Beth Tauke at the Center for Inclusive Design at
the University at Buffalo. Universal design is sometimes called "design for all," or "inclusive design." In this survey, "universal design" to refer to "design for all" or "inclusive design."
The goal of this project is to develop an identity program that consists of a logo, a color palette, tactile elements, and a sound mark for universal design. The identity program will be used to identify universally designed places, products, and systems.
