The H.E.A.R.T of Stone Poster

The "H.E.A.R.T." of stone poster is a poster for a research project conducted by member of Hyperthesis Visual Lab. This project researches stone as a metaphoric representation of nature influences on human development in art and living environment and the relationship beween these factors engage and our technology today.

The Artists’ Call for Justice: Empowerment by Design

Back in 1981, I began conducting free monthly workshops entitled “Design and Communication Basics for Social Activists” in the basement of a Washington D.C. peace center. They proved so popular that for ten years beginning in 1985 my firm, Liberation Graphics, was awarded an annual Community Arts grant from the Ruth Mott Fund to take the workshops on the road to locations throughout the U.S.

Do you attend design conferences?
One way of broadening your knowledge and gaining more insight into different aspects of the practice is through conferences, lectures and workshops. We wanted to know how many of you attend design conferences to network and learn.
A third of you seems to find design conferences to be a good way to expand their knowledge and experience and therefore attends design conferences very often. Almost a half of you do it aoccasionally, while just 23 percent stated that they never attend design conferences at all.

The personal sites featured make a refreshing change from commercial sites that focus on marketing and selling products. However the link to the commercial design world is there, many of these sites strongly influence how commercial clients design their sites. In this sense, the creative experiments featured often prove to be the breeding ground for tomorrow’s commercial successes.
