The First Greek Graphic Design and Illustration Awards, have received Icograda's endorsement. This global competition covers many design categories for design works that were produced for the Greek market from 1 December 2000 to 31 December 2001. The First Greek Graphic Design and Illustration Awards, aims to attract and exhibit the most significant achievements within this period.

Icograda website has ben hit more than one million three hundred thousand times since its launch in April 2000. You can take advantage of it to exhibit your work all around the wolrld!
Members in good standing of Icograda member associations are invited to submit a digital sample of their work to Icograda's Galeria, a weekly exhibit of inspiring design from the Icograda global community. The Universidade Federal do EspÌrito Santo, in Vitoria, Brazil is currently proceeding the selection of new professors, for Graphic Design and Multimedia and Computer Graphics departments. Deadline for application is 18 January 2002.

International Book Committee is dissolved
At its meeting on 13 October in Frankfurt, Germany, the participants of the meeting decided to dissolve the International Book Committee (IBC) because IBC had lost its original function as an advisory body of Unesco and because the majority of members obviously no longer identified themselves with IBC. After deliberations, it was decided to set up an International Book Network through internet.

ISTD - International TypoGraphic Awards 2001

At a recent ceremony, the ISTD International TypoGraphic Award 2001 was jointly awarded to Fabio Ongarato Design from Australia and Origin from the UK. Over 500 entries were received from 28 countries, and 44 Certificates of Excellence and 23 Premier Awards were awarded. The winning entries are all showcased in a special limited-edition Awards Journal designed by Gilmar Wendt and Christine Fent.
