A Series of posters for the Gavella Theater
By Cavarpayer, HDD (Croatia)
'Ah, Nora, Nora' -- a compilation of Ibsen's Doll House and the contemporary play by Elifrieda Jelinek; What Happened when Nora Left her Husband;
'In The Solitude of The Cotton Fields' -- by B.M.Koltes.
'The Golden Calf' -- by Iljf & Petrov.
'Lion in the Winter' -- by J. Goldman.
Cavarpayer is the pseudonymous of a team of graphic designers whose presence has been outstandingly noticed in croatian artistic circles. Experiment is the main impetus to these young artists who use diverse techniques and improvisations in their creative workshop to create their designs. Photography, which is used by these designers as an area of creative development and experiment, it is also the inspiration for their designing projects, as well as illustration and experiments with the digital media.

Excuses, excuses
by Jan Conradi, contributing editor/education, Visual Arts Trends
As designers, we don't create great work all by our lonesome. We depend on a group of suppliers, from programmers to print professionals, to help us produce the best possible results for our clients. Yet, instead of managing the process to ensure that everything goes smoothly, many of us end up blaming these same suppliers when it doesn't. This article shows that great design comes largely from building and managing professional relationships and offers a twelve-step program to success.

How big or how small is your staff?
One often says Graphic Design used to be a profession for lonely guys. One says times are changing. One says that big is beautiful. But what's the reality today?

From teaching-centered to learning-centered
At the Icograda Millennium Congress, Oullim 2000 Seoul, a global Design Education Manifesto was launched in 16 languages. The Manifesto set out a new premise for professional communication designers, and what should constitute design education. It states that more than ever, design education must prepare students for change.
We asked your opinion about it and 92% of you agreed to say that Design education must move from being teaching-centered to learning-centered. Design Education is on the move and the events currently organized on this subject are probably on ly the tip of the icebergs of changes...
Design education must move from being teaching-centered to learning-centered:
I agree somewhat: 49%
I agree strongly: 43%
I disagree: 8%
