Dr Anthony Cahalan has been interviewed for Radio National's popular ByDesign program, broadcast Saturday 29 April 2006.
Following a highly successful presentation in Canberra for World Graphic Design Day, 27 April 2006, Anthony Cahalan shines some light on to some of the murky themes surrounding the proliferation of typefaces in the early twenty-first century.
Is the appetite for an ever-increasing number of typefaces sustainable?
What is likely to have an impact on the popularity of a typeface?
At the end of the twentieth century what significance, in cultural terms, have typefaces had?
Dr Cahalan's book on his exploration and interrogation of type will be published this year.
Stay tuned.
