Simon Pemberton, AGDA National President, will again be in town to kick off the year with an informal and spirited discussion about his journey through the design industry and why he wanted to take the reigns as National President. He's a great guy to boot, so come along, enjoy a few drinks, and meet some new friends.
7th AGDA National Biennial Awards Touring Exhibition
Dates to be confirmed (starting mid-February)
The touring exhibition from the previous awards, held in Sydney, will be on show for three long weeks, with thanks to the good people at the University of Canberra. This will be a great lanching pad for the year, bound to inspire students and practising designers alike. See what was hot at the 7th AGDA National Biennial Awards, and get ready to enter your own material for this year's awards. Calendar of events for 2006
AGDA ACT Council has already met in 2006 to firm up the details for what is in store for you in Canberra in 2006. Well, apart from the National Awards in October! We'll have inspirational Australian design heavyweights, tours of the latest and greatest in Canberra's printing scene, lawyers to tell us what we can and can't do, we'll probably don our duxes caps and bring you another fun and fantastic quiz night as well. Hold on · it's going to be a BIG year in the Nation's capital.
