The Marijke Singer Memorial Scholarship
Background
The Marijke Singer Memorial Fund was inaugurated to honour the late
Secretary General of ICOGRADA, Marijke Singer, who served the organisation
for sixteen years from 1970.
Prize
Travel bursary increased for 1999 to 500 pounds sterling to be used to
attend the XVII Biennial Congress "Sydney Design 99" and General Assembly of
ICOGRADA to be held in Sydney, Australia between 26 September and 1 October
1999.
- Free registration.
- Accommodation with designer host family in Sydney for the period of the
Congress.
Eligibility
A designer under 26 years of age on 31 July 1999 and a member of an ICOGRADA
Member Association or a FRIEND of ICOGRADA.
Submission
A personal nomination of the President or Director of an ICOGRADA Member
Association. A citation should be submitted on one side of A4 size paper
giving reasons why the young person should receive an award. The citation
should be signed by the President or Director under the seal of the Member
Association and forwarded to the Director of the Directors are asked to
nominate candidates who would benefit from attendance at the ICOGRADA World
Congress and who might not otherwise be able to attend.
