FAQ

Windows in Collins St. Melbourne are the venue to showcase the work of the Graphic Design Graduates from Ballarat University. Rather than exhibiting in a conventional gallery space, the students have chosen to show case their work right in the heart of Melbourne.

The show will be displayed in the windows of Page One book store in Collins St. till 30th November. A wide range of regularly changing design works will be displayed, including graphic design, multimedia projects, large format posters, package design, web design and video productions.

Works that are easily accessible to the broader community are the feature of this year's event. The students will be on hand throughout the show to discuss their work with visitors and industry professionals. In this way the Designers are breaking the formalities of a conventional exhibition.

There is the release of a new Digi pack with interactive CD Rom, CMYK playing cards and video to support this cutting edge event. The graduating graphic design/multimedia students will culminate their year of study at a national designers dinner.

A presentation will be made at the designer's dinner by Andy Altmann of Why not and Associates, London. Andy is an internationally renowned graphic designer with a reputation of challenging the standards of design and pushing past traditional typographic boundaries. He will also be the University of Ballarat's external assessor this year.
